Fog & Fire

This shoot was made possible by flexible schedules and patience! When Jamie first approached me with the concept for this shoot, we both knew the styling was just begging for fog. Lucky for us, Pacific Northwest winters here on Vancouver Island typically have no shortage of the stuff. That said, fog is a fickle thing that tends to come and go as it pleases. The local weather forecasts were of little help, and often I would watch a morning fog roll in, only to burn off before I could even finish my breakfast!

It was a Sunday morning when that glorious, thick fog bank finally arrived in a density to last all day. With some quick back-and-forth planning, we were able to clear our afternoons of plans and rush down to the beach to make some magic! Jamie is an incredibly talented fire dancer who is naturally skilled when it comes to movement and posing, so from there, the rest was easy!
